Complete EGW Writings Native on Mac OS!

Up until now, if you wanted to run the EGW Writings software on your Mac, you had to do it through a virtual machine or emulation software such as Parallels or VMWare, etc.  Well I'm pleased to announce that those days are over!

Thanks to an application called WINE (which stands for: Wine Is Not an Emulator), we've been able to compile a user-friendly .dmg that conveniently installs a self-contained .app file. This installed application has WINE embedded into it which allows you to easily place it on your dock, making all of EGW's writings (and the words of the pioneers) available at your fingertips at all times!

I just compiled the first beta of this file this morning and uploaded it to The White Estate's server. If you're interested in beta testing it, let me know and I'll see what I can do.  We're especially looking to test it on Tiger and see if things run smoothly there.  The current plan is to make this available to the general public for the holiday season by the end of the year!

If you're interested to know more about how this project originally started, you can view Michael Prewitt's blog post about it.

I want to give a special thank you to Mike Kronenberg from Switzerland who modified the WineBottler code just to accomodate this project!
